Catalyst
Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 29, 2026
Catalyst: Stock Events That Matter helps customers review stock market events, earnings dates, company headlines, macro events, watchlist alerts, and weekly market-event summaries. This policy explains what information Catalyst collects, how it is used, and how to contact us about privacy questions.
Information Catalyst does not collect
Catalyst does not ask for brokerage logins, bank credentials, trading authority, precise location, contacts, health data, or private financial account access. Catalyst cannot place trades, move money, or connect to a brokerage account.
Information stored on your device
The app may store watchlist symbols, alert preferences, notification scheduling state, onboarding state, catalyst review notes, catalyst feedback choices, and cached market-event data on your device. If you delete the app, local app data may be removed by your device.
Information processed to run the app
When you add tickers or refresh event data, Catalyst may request market-event snapshots for those symbols from our backend. The backend may process ticker symbols, request timestamps, source health, and operational logs needed to return earnings, macro, and company-event data.
If you enable notifications, Catalyst may use notification permission status and push or local notification metadata to schedule or deliver alerts and daily digests. You can disable notifications in the app or in your device settings.
Purchases and subscriptions
Catalyst Pro purchases, subscriptions, entitlement checks, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and restore-purchase actions may be processed by Google Play, Apple, and RevenueCat. Catalyst uses purchase status only to unlock paid features, restore access, provide support, and understand subscription lifecycle events.
Diagnostics, analytics, and error monitoring
Catalyst may use privacy-conscious diagnostics and analytics to understand app reliability, feature usage, paywall activity, purchase flow health, notification delivery, backend health, and crash or error reports. These events should avoid raw credentials and sensitive account data. Error monitoring may include device platform, app version, release identifier, screen or action context, and sanitized technical details.
Support messages
If you contact us for support, we may collect your email address, message content, app issue details, purchase status information you choose to provide, and related support history so we can respond.
Service providers
We use service providers to operate Catalyst, including app stores, RevenueCat, Sentry, Cloudflare, market data or news sources, email providers, and infrastructure providers. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not sell Catalyst customer personal information.
Data retention and security
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it or reset the app. Backend logs, support records, purchase records, and diagnostic records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for operations, security, support, compliance, and product improvement. No system can guarantee perfect security, but we use reasonable safeguards appropriate for the information we process.
Your choices
- You can edit or remove tickers from your watchlist inside the app.
- You can turn alerts and daily digests on or off in the app or device settings.
- You can manage subscriptions through the app store account used to purchase Catalyst Pro.
- You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information we reasonably control.
Children
Catalyst is intended for adults reviewing market-event information. It is not directed to children under 13.
Policy updates
We may update this policy as Catalyst, its backend, app store requirements, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
